Matt Damon is now officially the owner of a record-breaking penthouse—the most expensive property in Brooklyn, to be exact. The $16.7 million penthouse, which Damon purchased with his wife, Lucianna Barroso, is at , a condo residence in Brooklyn Heights.
While we don't yet know what the inside of the penthouse looks like, we do know that the building has a beautiful brick, limestone, and terra-cotta facade with high-arched ground floor windows, wide bay windows with copper and zinc accents, and a rooftop terrace with city views that are sure to be stunning. And if the lobby of the building is any indication, the interior of Damon's new penthouse is sure to be pretty incredible.
Before Damon's big purchase, the most expensive property in Brooklyn was a tie between Jennifer Connelly and Paul Bettany’s Brooklyn Heights townhouse and Jay Maisel’s Cobble Hill townhouse, both of which went for $15.5 million. It doesn't look like Damon will hold this record for too long, though—another Brooklyn penthouse at Quay Tower in Brooklyn Bridge Park is set to sell for $20 million to a New York family that plans to combine two penthouses in the building, according to the .
And if you're just dying to be Matt Damon's neighbor, it looks like there is another —so long as you've got $6.8 million to spare.
