Celebrities. They're just like us — over anything tainted by 2016, feverishly scouring Pinterest for all things stylish and fresh and unequivocally on trend. And while that typically means loading up boxes and scheduling trips to Goodwill, purging your space looks a little different when you're living life on the A-List.
Take actress Courteney Cox, for example, who's cleaning house this week — a light-filled, midcentury Malibu house once featured in Siweb — and selling some of her personal effects on online furniture and accessories retailer .
According to the site, Cox is in the process of a makeover, updating her modernist style home to incorporate more classic European pieces into the space. "Before I was kind of into organic with modern, and now I'm into really old mixed with cleaner stuff. I'm not really changing everything, just a shift—because why not?" Cox says.
On the sale lineup: An assortment of mid-century furniture, bold lamps and decorative accessories in organic materials that reflect both Cox's California-cool style and her love of architecture and design.
Before becoming an actress, Cox actually wanted to be an architect, an interest that shows through as much now as it did when she originally decorated the home alongside designer .
"I've been overseeing renovations of my homes for a long time, and I have strong opinions about what I want and why," Cox told Siweb in 2011, referencing the once-a-week, three-hour-long design planning meetings she held with Haenisch and architect .
The result, Cox described, was a very simple aesthetic, "with bronzed-steel trim, white walls, and wood floors. Nothing too cluttered and not a lot of fancy details."
Take a look at some of the furnishings Cox chose to accompany that minimalist vibe, which go on sale at 11am.
