What is it about spiral staircases? No matter where you come across these wonders of design, it’s pretty much impossible not to stop and stare in amazement.
These beautifully shot passageways from Munich-based freelance photographer are no exception to that rule.
Taken from above, she manages to turn the spiral staircases she comes across into lovely works of art, featured on her Instagram account .
“My camera–a Canon & wide-angle lens–is always in my bag, so I won’t miss any staircase while walking around in Munich,” Pasvantova says.
Inspired while studying at the Technical University in Munich and The National School of Architecture in Montpellier, Pasvantova decided to turn her passion for architecture and photography into a career.
You must admit: She has a good eye for spotting the most amazing staircases.
"Usually the first thing you notice in architecture is the facade. The second, and most impressive thing, is the entry," Pasvantova says. "However, staircases aren’t just accesses to rooms or buildings, moreover they’re sculptures that can be walked on."
Here, she shares her 12 favorites. The first 9, mostly office buildings, were shot in Munich. The last two were photographed in two hotels near the Place de l’Opéra on a recent visit to Paris.
