On Sunday night's episode of Nate Berkus's new show, , we were introduced to a Victorian home with a poor layout. Designer Elaine Griffin took on the girls' room, which started out as a cute but completely textbook "girl's bedroom:" Pink walls, white bed, pink accessories, matchy-matchy white furniture. So we were especially stunned to see how sophisticated and special it became.
The new room has dark wood floors (a far more dramatic touch than the bland carpeting) but the true win is in the pale yellow and white color combination. Not only does it have more personality but it will grow with the daugheters in a way that the pink wonderland just wouldn't.
In the before, above, stunning windows but wasted space.
And now, an adorable but stylish play space.
