"My mom has a plethora of bedrooms in her basement that she has let me makeover in the past, and this one has always just been left to the side. It was used more as a storage room at one point, then as an exercise room. For awhile, I always envisioned opening this room up and creating a little family room out of it. But we decided it was finally time to just do something in here so we decided to keep it simple and just create another bedroom."
"The old table was given to me so I decided to redo the top and bottom and place it in here. This room is quite long, so it fit perfectly."
"I fought with the style of this room, but decided to go with Country Modern. Modern being the bed and pattern choices paired with the Country of a ruffled comforter and lots of distressed wood...along with the 'planked' walls, of course."
"To make the makeover a little more cost effective, I handmade the pillows and curtain panels. Bought everything else on sale or clearance."
