Organization guru Marie Kondo took the world by storm — and saved plenty of lives from the clutches of clutter — when her book "" was released in October 2014.
Now, fans of Kondo's joy-based cleaning techniques, or her "," as the Wall Street Journal refers to them, will be able to enjoy her organizational style in a whole new way.
According to , NBC is planning to adapt Kondo's book into a half-hour TV comedy that "centers on a young woman in a moment of crisis who attempts to get her messy life in order." The show will be written by Erica Oyama, the creator of the parody web-series turned TV show, Burning Love.
And considering Kondo's book has remained at the top of the New York Times Bestsellers List for 50 consecutive weeks, NBC could have a hit on its hands.
This isn't the only home-based show getting ready to grace our TV screens, a horror dramedy called "Horrorstör," which will be set in an IKEA-esque store, is currently in the works over at Fox, according to .
