Yesterday, that it was opening the Starbucks to end all Starbucks in Chicago. According to the press release, the four-level Reserve® Roastery, as it's officially called, will be a "fully sensorial coffee environment dedicated to roasting, brewing and packaging its rare, small-batch Starbucks Reserve coffees from around the world."
It will also be "designed to bring coffee craft to life by offering multiple brewing methods, specialty Reserve beverages and mixology."
The Chicago Reserve Roastery will be the third of its kind in the U.S., following the New York one, which is slated to open in 2018, and the successful original in the company's home city of Seattle. Thanks to the Seattle flagship location, we can kind of imagine what the Chicago store will look like.
It's a magical world filled with exotic coffee flights, enormous burlap sacks filled with pebbles of beans, and freshly baked bread that pairs perfectly with your hot beverage.

The company is also planning to extend its roastery experience abroad in Shanghai in late 2017, and Milan and Tokyo in 2018.
