On July 19, TLC announced what everyone was anxiously waiting to hear: Paige Davis will be back. The beloved host will indeed narrate the weekend-long renovation process. "I'm back at TLC, back home, back where I belong, and I am so thrilled," Paige said in a video for TLC.

6. As will our other favorite cast members.

Designers Doug Wilson, Genevieve Gorder, Hildi Santo-Tomas, Vern Yip, Frank Bielec, and Laurie Smith will all be making an appearance on the remake. Even better: Carpenters Ty Pennington and Carter Oosterhouse have signed on, too.

The , and stars of Nate and Jeremiah By Design, will appear on Trading Spaces as .

10. Designers will have a budget of $2,000 per room.

Which is twice as much as they had when the show originally aired, but is still extremely tight. "Viewers have become so accustomed to seeing designs done for $50,000 or $100,000. I think this will be inspiring," TLC executive Howard Lee told .

11. Davis says some of her favorite rooms are from the upcoming season.

"Our designers are still pushing themselves to design with the same core principles," Davis . The results? Some of her "most favorite rooms of all time." Consider our interests piqued.

12. Dozens of eggshells were used in one room.

"What one of our designers does with eggshells is shocking,” Howard Lee told . He also confirms to expect the very thing that makes this show so exciting, and so hard, to watch: "Not every episode has a happy ending."

Several of Oosterhouse's Trading Spaces costars (he was on the original show from 2004 to 2007 and is appearing in the reboot) are defending him, including host Paige Davis who told , "What I can tell you from my experience with Carter is that he is an absolute professional. I've never had any experience with him where I haven't just had the best time ever. He's down to earth. He's very good at what he does. And I enjoyed working these episodes with him. And I'm really excited for them to air."

16. Davis says her iconic hairstyle won't be back.

Some referred to her pixie cut as the "Paige" and Davis says the crew used to joke that it was the new "Rachel." "At first, it was this wispy cute haircut and then it turned into a Carol Brady helmet flip-do," Davis . Which is why she'll be sporting a longer bob style in the new season.

We're not crying, you're crying. Back then, it was the most successful show ever on TLC and was the first show to start the home show phenomenon that people still can't get enough of today. So, you know who to thank, Chip and Joanna.

18. People are beyond excited.
