You all probably know what a new car smells like, but have you ever sniffed your new Mac when you opened it for the first time? Apparently the people behind the Apple accessory company Twelve South have. On Tuesday they released a — and it sold out in one day.
After surveying a bunch of Apple fans (many who "shyly admitted" to sniffing their new Mac products), Twelve South joined forces with the candle company to bring this pretty crazy, but totally amazing idea to life. According to Twelve South, a fresh Mac has notes of mint, peach, basil, lavender, mandarin, and sage. Which, tbh, sounds way better than cold aluminum and plastic.
For $24, you can have that freshly unboxed scent in your home. Even though the candles are already out of stock, don't freak out just yet. They're working on creating more to sell later this month and you can sign up to be notified — perfect if you'd like to pretend you have a brand new MacBook even though you're still using the one you got for graduation back in 2009, like me (I knowwww).
