The most expensive cities to live in around the world in 2017 have been revealed and surprisingly, New York isn't one of them.
The analyzed 406 metropolitan housing markets in nine countries - Australia, United States, Canada, Hong Kong, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore and the UK.
To find out where the "severely unaffordable major housing markets" are, the study used the "mean multiple" method (the median house price was divided by the median household income).
