If you're a design buff, we have some news to share: is expanding its footprint with a 45,000-square-foot in New York City. Located at the Terminal Stores building (269 11th Avenue), the 1stdibs Gallery showcases a well-curated mix of antiques and contemporary offerings from more than 50 exhibitors in the retailer's network. From lighting and art to rugs and tables, the new space is everything you'd imagine it to be.
Along with areas for exhibitors, the 1stdibs Gallery, which was designed by architecture firm Davies Toews, includes installations that will rotate throughout the year and provides the opportunity for the retailer to host educational events.
“The 1stdibs Gallery is New York’s premier design hub, where designers and consumers can shop, learn, touch, see and be inspired by a representative sampling of the site’s offerings,” said David Rosenblatt, CEO of 1stdibs. “The Gallery presents one-of-a-kind antique treasures, vintage finds and the best new and custom creations, all artfully presented by an international array of exhibitors.”
And staying true to its brand, digital is still a key part of the 1stdibs shopping experience. Shoppers can browse products online before visiting the gallery and are even able to use the 1stdibs to scan items for more details. Shopping for one-of-a-kind home furnishings doesn't get any better than that.
